From living spaces to urban spaces. YKK AP has kept pace with the times and leads the way into the future.

The homes and buildings where we conduct our affairs are a social asset, a facet of our culture, and also a part of the environment. With our windows and doors for the home, building facades and other architectural products, YKK AP is creating an enterprise value befitting of a new age. We offer the latest in comfort for homes and urban spaces. We also hope to advance efforts toward energy conservation and contribute to building a more recycling-oriented society.

The YKK philosophy is at the root of our corporate values.

A corporation is an important member of society, and as such, it must coexist with other elements of society. Its value will be recognized by the benefits it shares with society. YKK's founder, Tadao Yoshida, paid the keenest attention to this idea when conducting business and considered ways for both the company and society to prosper.
It is a philosophy which believes that when a company conducts business by concentrating on invention and ingenuity and always creating new value, the enterprise can grow, and it will benefit its clients and business partners and contribute to society. Tadao Yoshida called this idea the "Cycle of Goodness", and it was his guiding principle of doing business. We have inherited this idea, which has become the YKK philosophy.

Management Principle: "YKK seeks corporate value of higher significance."

The YKK philosophy is put into practice through our activities worldwide. The pursuit of corporate value of higher significance is something that reflects our mission, purpose and beliefs as a corporate entity. With an emphasis on fairness, we pursue quality in seven areas as corporate value. The circle on the left represents the three stakeholders that YKK AP hopes to benefit: our employees, our customers, and society. The circle on the right represents the means through which we create value: our products, our technology, and management. When all are interlinked as we create value, it results in corporate value of higher significance.
